OFS provides a variety of metalized coatings for your application. Custom coatings and derivations of
standard coatings are also available.
Aluminum, Protected Aluminum and Enhanced Aluminum: These
coatings can be optimized for first or second surface characteristics. They can be coated on either flat or curved surfaces.
The substrate can be up to 2.3 meters in diameter or 2.3 meters along the hypotenuse.
Chrome Coating: We can apply chrome for binders, semi-transparency
or full opacity. Using special methods, we can vary the reflectance of the first surface.
Etchable Aluminum Coating: Used primarily for photolithography,
these coatings are optimized for durability and etching consistency. The grayscale capabilities are astounding and the line
resolutions surpass the capabilities of most imagesetters.
Etchable Aluminum With Dark Overcoat: This is the same
high quality aluminum coating as above, but with a dark overcoat on the first surface that cuts reflection to under 12%.
Gold Coatings: Gold coatings for various optics. Protected gold
combines the reflective characteristics of gold with the durability of oxide coatings.
Silver Coatings: Silver coatings for various
optics and reflectors. Using special binders, our silver coatings are extremely robust. Protected silver coatings will pass
mild abrasion tests. Enhanced silver coatings will boost reflective performance to over 99%.
ITO Coatings: These coatings are electrically conductive,
transparent (when compared to other metals) and can be etched. They are for use in flat panel displays and other applications.
Also available are: Chromium, Rhodium, Platinum, Titanium, Nickel including nickel deposition on cloth, Copper, Metallic Beamsplitters
and alloys made up of a combination of metals in a co-deposition process
